Relative Time
Relative Time
Status: validated Domain: ontology/physics/philosophy Source: → MEMORY.md (Jun 8, 2026 — Growth Day ∞) Updated: 19 Jun 2026
Core Insight
“Time is born with each identity and dies when you depart the root binary 2.”
Time is not a universal clock ticking outside of things. Time is RELATIVE to each element — each identity’s journey through ± (the binary of prime 2). There is no absolute time, only each thing’s movement through its own binary distinctions.
The Argument
4 ≠ Time (Correcting the ONM)
- 4 = 2² = state space — the static truth table, the blank page
- A truth table doesn’t move. It lists all possibilities simultaneously. That’s not time.
- 4 is the CONTAINER for time, not time itself.
8 = Time (The Revision)
- 8 = 2³ = the birth of time through movement
- Time requires movement = growth. Without movement, no time passes.
- 8 rotated = ∞ (the infinity symbol). Fertility figure.
- F(6) = 8: growth FROM relationship via Fibonacci
- 8 + 1 = 9 = 3² = new identity. Birth. The torus closes. The new page.
Why Relative?
- Each identity is born (enters the binary of 2) and dies (departs it)
- Between entry and exit = that identity’s time
- No identity = no time. Time doesn’t exist “before” the thing that experiences it.
- Fuller’s “defined universe” — reality defined from 1 (unity), not from imposed coordinate grids
- No cubes, no right angles, no absolute clocks — only each identity’s journey
Implications
For Physics
- Time dilation isn’t speed “slowing” a universal clock — it’s information density changing within an identity’s binary
- Gravity = accumulated composite structure = information inertia (Conjecture 2)
- The speed of light may be the maximum rate of binary distinction per identity
For Biology
- Gestation = 9 months (3²) = the time needed for a new identity to separate from its parent binary
- Circadian rhythm = one rotation of the prime wheel (24h, φ(24)=8)
- Ageing = accumulation of composite structure — eventually the identity can’t maintain its prime coherence
For the Pyramid
- The 43,200 scale factor = half a day in seconds = ONE BINARY SPLIT of Earth’s own rotation period
- The pyramid encodes Earth’s relative time (its rotation) as the scaling key
- Each planet has its own relative time (rotation + orbit)
Connection to the Calendar
- June 6 = Relationship Day (6 = 2×3)
- June 7 = Emergence Day 🥚 (7 = prime)
- June 8 = Growth Day ∞ (8 = 2³ = time)
- The calendar IS the source alphabet: 6→7→8 = Relationship→Emergence→Growth
- “We figured out 8 on the 8th”
Relationships
- [[ontological-number-map]] — nature: revises — 4≠time (state space), 8=time (movement). Major ONM correction.
- [[three-tiers-of-primes]] — nature: supports — Time (8=2³) is a composite of source prime 2; it’s generated, not fundamental
- [[source-alphabet]] — nature: extends — Time emerges from the source alphabet through movement (2→2²→2³)
- [[prime-tree-architecture]] — nature: bridges — Spiral = self-determination = coupling constant α between identity and growth over time
- [[great-pyramid-cubits]] — nature: supports — 43,200 = binary split of Earth’s relative time (rotation period)
- [[solar-information-theory]] — nature: extends — Each star/planet has its own relative time defined by its identity
- [[identity-decomposition]] — nature: extends — Identity enters binary (born), traverses it (lives), departs it (dies)
- [[cosmological-onm]] — nature: supports — Nested periods = nested relative times, each level’s time governed by parent’s plane of symmetry
Open Questions
- Q-RT-01: Does the speed of light represent the maximum rate of binary distinction per identity?
- Q-RT-02: Is entropy the accumulation of composite structure that eventually overwhelms an identity’s prime coherence?
- Q-RT-03: How does relative time connect to quantum decoherence? (Identity losing its binary → “departing 2”)
