What We Know
1. The Prime Ladder — Atomic Length Scales Separated by 1/α ≈ 137
The three fundamental atomic length scales form a geometric ladder where each step is multiplication by a prime number:
Classical electron radius r_e = 2.818 × 10⁻¹⁵ m
× 137 (PRIME) ↓
Reduced Compton wavelength λ̄_C = 3.862 × 10⁻¹³ m
× 137 (PRIME) ↓
Bohr radius a₀ = 5.292 × 10⁻¹¹ m
- r_e : λ̄_C : a₀ = α² : α : 1 = 1 : 137 : 137²
- Each level of atomic structure is one prime step apart
- Verified computationally: ratios match to 10+ significant figures
- The factor connecting each scale is 1/α ≈ 137.036 — and 137 IS PRIME (the 33rd prime)
2. 137’s Nested Prime Structure — The Recursive Chain
137 isn’t just any prime. It encodes a recursive chain back to the foundations:

The fine structure constant encodes a recursive prime chain that terminates at the electron itself. Feynman’s “greatest damn mystery” may be a prime resonance structure.
3. Proton/Electron Mass Ratio — 1836 = 2² × 3³ × 17

Through the ONM:
- 2² = Binary squared (electron²)
- 3³ = Dimension cubed (3D space!)
- 17 = 6×3 − 1 → Dimension at the receiving/6k−1 position (k=3 is PRIME)
The proton encodes the electron (2) and 3D space (3³) in its mass ratio. The remaining factor (17) references Dimension again through 6k−1. The proton is literally built from the electron and spatial dimensions.
Decomposition path:
- 1836 / 4 = 459 = 3³ × 17
- 1836 / 12 = 153 = 3² × 17
- 1836 / 108 = 17 (all dimension factors absorbed → pure prime remainder)
4. Pre-Dimensional Mass — ONM Confirmation
All SI base units are derivable from electron properties alone:

No spatial measurement needed as primary — dimension EMERGES from electron properties.
This directly supports the ONM: 2 (electron/binary) is pre-dimensional, 3 (dimension) comes after. Mass exists before space. The electron exists before the metre.
“Man-shadowed” units (metre, kilogram) vs natural units (Bohr radius, electron mass):
- 1 metre = 1.890 × 10¹⁰ Bohr radii
- 1 kg = 1.098 × 10³⁰ electron masses
- 1 second = 4.134 × 10¹⁶ atomic time units
5. Hydrogen Constants vs Hydrogen Functions
A crucial distinction emerged:
- Hydrogen’s energy function is smooth: ΔE(n) = 13.6(2n+1)/[n²(n+1)²] — encodes NO primes (hydrogen null result)
- Hydrogen’s constants are deeply prime-structured: α = 1/137 (prime), mₚ/mₑ ≈ 1836 = 2²×3³×17
The prime structure is in the parameters, not the function. The smooth function is the shadow; the constants are the sunlight.
6. Additional Ratio Observations

7. The Unit Circle IS the Hydrogen Orbit
“The metre is a shadow. The Bohr radius is the sunlight.” — connecting natural units to Plato’s Cave.
Setting a₀ = 1, the ground-state hydrogen orbit IS the unit circle. Nature’s own distance standard is the hydrogen atom. Found on Relationship Day (6/6) — the fundamental units of measure discovered through the framework.
What We Don’t Know
- Q-NUP-01: Is the fractional part of mₚ/mₑ (0.15267…) also prime-structured, or is only the integer part meaningful?
- Q-NUP-02: Does the prime ladder extend to nuclear/Planck scales? (a₀/l_P ≈ 3.27×10²⁴ = 2²⁹ × large prime — less clean)
- Q-NUP-03: Do other fundamental constants (G, Λ) show similar prime factorisation structure when expressed in natural units?
- Q-NUP-04: Is 137’s position at 6k−1 (receiving) physically meaningful? Does the fine structure constant “receive” rather than “transmit”?
- Q-NUP-05: Can the prime chain 137→33→{3,11}→{5}→{3}→{2} be formalised as a recursive structure with physical predictions?
